PokeProblemsPodcast Takes Notice!

I was in Boston last week at MIT (I really love being able to say that) for some software training. It was mostly work and season two of Westworld, but I was able to meet up with my friend, Rydia, for dinner in Boston’s Chinatown at the fantastic Gourmet Dumpling House. Rydia and I met through a mutual friend and see each other at an occassional Gen Con or Origins. So we had a nice dinner, walked around Boston Commons, and finished up with some amazing cream puffs at Beard Papa’s.

The next day, she asked me if I would be interested in being interviewed on her podcast, PokeProblemsPodcast. I’ve never been interviewed before so this was kind of exciting and I jumped at the chance. A shared 25-minute Uber later (thanks, Allison!) and I was at the home of The Wolf Doctor, the show’s other half. Rydia showed up a few minutes after that and we went down into the recording studio to do the podcast.

I wasn’t sure how it was going to go. It was very last-minute and I didn’t really have time to prepare, so I left a lot out that I would have preferred not to (deepest apologies to William, Joseph, and The Necromancer). Still, I think it’s pretty solid first interview. They have a schtick about keeping their guests in a locked closet in the basement which was fun to play along with. We waxed philosophic on Star Wars vs. Star Trek, got into some of the nuts and bolts about forming Laboratory H, making and marketing Dark Domains, and looking toward our upcoming games especially The Big Apple and Journey of the Emperor.

You’ll also find out what one of my favorite D&D monsters is, chosen for nostalgiac reasons.

Give it a listen on their blogspot page or whereever fine podcasts are distributed.
